Hormones that control every element of your metabolism, from heart rate to calorie-burn rate, are secreted by the thyroid gland.

2. Goiter with many nodules
3. Thyroid nodule that is toxic
4. Thyroid cancer

Patients are given general anesthesia for the surgical process. The treatment begins with a tiny incision on the neck, which is frequently hidden in a skinfold where it will be difficult to notice once healed. Part or all of the thyroid gland is removed depending on the disease. It takes almost 1-2 hours to complete the process.
