After the surgical operation, the patient usually recovers in a week or two. During their recovery, the patient may experience a sore throat, bad breath, earaches, or a stuffy nose for up to one week.
• Maintain good hydration.
• Avoid crunchy, hard-to-swallow, hot, and spicy foods.
• Soft food and drinks should be consumed.
Consult the doctor right away if you notice any oral or nasal bleeding, high fever or severe difficulty in breathing.
